(1) No one shall take possession of government, public or community land by encroachment, encroachment or in any other way.
(2) No one shall usurp or cause to usurp government, public or community land without the approval of the Government of Nepal, related public institutions or communities.
(3) Contrary to sub-section (1) or (2), if anyone keeps or usurps government, public or community land, the relevant land office in the case of government or public land and the relevant local level in the case of community land shall separate the land and take the crops grown from such land. It should be vacated.
(4) The land office shall impose a fine of up to ten thousand rupees on any person who occupies or usurps government, public or community land contrary to this section.
